Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in cutting-edge power management and mix-signal IC/IP development.
- Work with cross functional teams and contribute to the best design topology and methodology for a given application;
- Develop the Integrated Circuit product objective specification document that includes die size estimation, package selection, pin descriptions, block diagrams and all aspect of Integrated Circuit electrical specifications.
- Model and Design the Integrated Circuit from beginning to end which includes top level modeling, schematic captures, and simulations.
- Select the appropriate process that maximizes the value of the final IC product with the best engineering trade-offs.
- Oversee the Integrated Circuit layout and provide guidance to the demo-board PCB layout.
- IC bench verifications, failure analysis and yield improvements support.
- Interface with application engineers, test and product engineers, process engineers and sale engineers to insure the success of the Integrated Circuit product development from concept to final release to production.
- Be expected to contribute to analog circuit design, simulation, directing layout and silicon debugging.
- Be able to work with product evaluation engineer to understand board level issues, and be able make connection to real world problems together with application expert in the team.
- Participate in mix-signal IC product development, working with multi-site engineers on different functions.
- Responsible for mixed-signal functionality verification architecture and test bench design by using advanced verification methodologies
- Understand board level issues to make connection to real world application
Requirements:
- MSEE or PhD in Microelectronics/Electrical Engineering or related
- Candidate must be intimately familiar with the design of analog building blocks, and state-of the art techniques for performance optimizations.
- Mix-signal/Power IC/System design knowledge and experience are preferred.
- Verification knowledge and experience is a plus.
- Transistor-level circuit design, simulation, and layout of analog /mixed-signal integrated circuit, with track record of high quality circuit design.
- Solid understanding of device physics, control theory and sampling system is a strong plus.
- Solid problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills. Enjoy thinking, taking things apart and making things work.
- Innovative, with ability to raise good questions.
- Self-starter. Passionate about the creative work. Excellent communication skills and team player.
- High level of mathematical sophistication is a strong plus
- Pro-active and good communication.
- Fluence in both spoken and written English
