The Role
We are hiring an experienced semiconductor Product Engineer, who is an expert on semiconductor manufacturing flows, including process flow development. Has strong background in assembly operations, has experience with die binning. Will drive operations projects for new flow deployment, flow optimization, drive system impacts, ERP, data flow. Has experience with die binning, defining all the die attributes from wafer sort and mapping the data into a system.
What You’ll Do:
• Support Ops team on NPI startup and HVM deployment activities, this will include mapping the manufacturing flow through wafer sort, assembly, and final test
• Map requirements for die binning for each of the die types going into a assembled unit, develop all the bonding options based off die bins by die type
• Define ATE characterization data needed to define die bins, die yield models, perform statistical data analysis
• Lead optimization and continuous improvement efforts on production test screen
• Drive overall binning methodology for Ampere to support chiplets in a MCM package, test attributes, die data storage, die tracking system, die binning data base, and data structure
What You’ll Bring:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in product/test engineering in the semiconductor industry
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in yield management, improvement background, and yield databases and tools
• Hands-on experience in VLSI SoC or microprocessor product bring-up and productization
• Strong background/knowledge in semiconductor assembly, test, part numbering requirements, and ERP systems
• Must have project management experience working and driving a team to conclusion
• Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, or similar) and data analysis tools such as JMP
• Experience with ATE testers; Advantest V93K preferred
• Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals and CMOS circuits
• Understanding of ATE test flow, test methodology, silicon, and assembly process
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues
• Familiarity with SCAN/ATPG/MBIST tests is a plus
• Excellent problem solving, teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Education:
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, or related field with 5+ years’ experience, OR
• Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, or related field with 3+ years’ experience, OR
• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, or related field

Pay and Benefits
Ampere offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, stock, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $106,000 and $176,000. We also offer an annual bonus program tied to internal company goals and annual meritocratic stock awards that enable our employees to participate in the success of the company.
