Reliability Senior Principal Engineer
Job Description:
- Plan and coordinate testing to qualify new Optoelectronic Products to industry standards
- Support long term testing of parts thermal, electrical, mechanical
- Assess test data using statistical analysis tools to project long term product reliability
- Participate on cross functional product design teams providing guidance on setting requirements for qualification and long-term reliability.
- Support Marketing and Sales in answering customer inquiries regarding product reliability
Job Requirements:
- Basic understanding of semiconductor physics and device operation
- Experience with electrical measurements
- Familiarity with statistical data analysis using software tools such as Excel, JMP, or Minitab
- Experience with thermal modeling and/or physical device modeling a plus
- Experience with design and assembly of printed circuit boards a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Problem solving skills - must be capable of analyzing weakly defined requirements, ultimately defining the issues and developing long and short term solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in engineering, physics, materials science, or a similar discipline
- Familiarity with software languages used for control of test equipment, such as Python, C/C++, or LabView
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical results, both through written reports and presentations
