Director Business Development, Home & Life IoT Ecosystems

Meet the Team
In this role you will work with one of the world’s leading IoT market makers/disruptors and support them to drive forward key industry technologies and trends. By owning the strategy of growing the Home and Life business within the IoT ecosystems that this disruptor creates, you will be at the forefront of helping to drive the latest IoT technologies into fast developing markets. You will partner with Sales to drive direct 1st party business with this disruptor, as well as with the 3rd party device makers that are looking to connect into these ecosystems. You will work with Business Development Engineering team to own the requirements for the Silicon Labs products and use these to help drive the roadmap that will win with this Disruptor and within their Ecosystem. This is a high-profile role within Silicon Labs with direct engagement with senior leadership across the company.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the corporate strategy to win in the Ecosystem of one of the world’s leading IoT disruptors
- Work with Sales and the Business Development Engineers to own the requirements that drive the roadmap to be successful in direct business with this disruptor and with the 3rd party end device makers
- Own and maintain an economic model to demonstrate the business value of this disruptor and their ecosystems
- Developing business case for IoT HW and SW products and any other prioritization discussions required within this ecosystem
- Work with Segment Marketing and Sales to develop and own the H&L value proposition, competitive analysis definition and associated collateral
- Work with the cross functional teams such as Global Marketing, Platform and R&D to ensure a deep understanding of the ecosystems are in place. This includes trends, technologies, and requirements and will ensure projects meet customer and market expectations
Skills You Will Need
- 10+ years’ experience in business development and product management of SoCs and/or Modules
- 5+ years of growing business with fortune 100 companies
Minimum Qualifications
- Familiar with MCUs, Wireless RF technology and Protocols
- Excellent communicator / presenter
- Collaborative Curiosity / Detail oriented
- Creative and Strategic thinker.
- Capability to work and level set priorities across multiple organizations (Platform, Segment, BU, Sales, Central Marketing)
- Ability to build a process and help drive the organization to leverage the process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Strong understanding of technology / technology value proposition development & market engagement

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $159,635 - $296,464 USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
