PURPOSE:
As the Vice President of Quality Assurance, you will be the unwavering guardian of quality across our semiconductor testing operations. Your mandate? To ensure our products meet exacting standards, delighting our customers and propelling us to new frontiers. If you thrive on precision, innovation, and driving a culture of excellence, this role is tailor-made for you.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
1. Strategic Quality Leadership:
  • Visionary Strategy Development: Develop and execute a visionary quality strategy intricately aligned with our business imperatives. Using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and unwavering adherence to industry norms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Advocate for quality initiatives, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams. Infuse quality into our organizational DNA, ensuring it permeates every process and decision.
2. Quality Systems Mastery:
  • QMS Oversight: Be the steward of our Quality Management System (QMS), including ISO certifications across several facilities.
  • PPAP Coordination: Lead the orchestration of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), ensuring seamless product launches through meticulous planning and flawless execution.
  • SPC Expertise in Statistical Process Control (SPC). Leverage data analytics and AI/ML to drive continuous improvement, transforming raw data into actionable insights.
  • Zero Defect Plan. Develop planning and execution strategies towards ZDP across the product portfolio.
3. Programmatic Excellence:
  • Quality Program Management: Oversee quality programs from inception to delivery, including using Six Sigma, Lean, and Total Quality Management (TQM). Across the entire product lifecycle, from design to post-production support.
  • R&D Synergy: Collaborate closely with R&D to embed quality checkpoints early, ensuring robust designs, efficient processes, and seamless technology transitions.
4. Regulatory Compliance Mastery:
  • Regulatory Compliance and Audits: Stay ahead of the regulatory curve. Whether it’s FDA, CE, or RoHS, you will be the compass guiding us through the complexities of compliance globally. 
5. E2E Quality Supervision and Collaboration:
  • Supply Chain Excellence: Engage with suppliers. Elevate their quality standards. Seamless supply chain orchestration ensures uninterrupted excellence.
  • Manufacturing Quality: Champion manufacturing quality. Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes, reduce defects, and enhance yield.
  • Customer-Centric Quality: Obsess over customer quality through clear understanding of their needs, expectations, and pain points. Translate these insights into actionable improvements.
  • Feedback Loop: Establish a robust feedback loop with customers. Leverage their input to drive product enhancements and service excellence.
7. Risk Mitigation and Root Cause Analysis:
  • Risk Anticipation: Proactively identify quality risks. Devise robust mitigation strategies. Turn setbacks into steppingstones for improvement.
  • Root Cause Investigation: Champion root cause analysis. Unearth hidden gems of process enhancement.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering, Quality Management, or related fields. An MBA adds celestial points to your credentials.
  • Certifications: Consider ISO 9001, AS9100, ISTQB, or other relevant badges of honor.
  • A minimum of 10 years in QA leadership roles within highly regulated industries (aerospace, medical devices, or automotive).
  • Proficiency in audit methodology, statistical techniques, and global regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
This position is US - Remote Eligible (pacific time zone preferred). The role may include occasional work at an FFI office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. FFI can employ in states where we have registered entities. The pay range for this role is between $219,200 and $287,700 and is dependent on the work location of the candidate selected. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
