The KLA Global Workplace Services (GWS) team is passionate about enabling the business goals and company culture through the delivery of workplace environments and services that foster teamwork, innovation and productivity. Our team runs a worldwide portfolio of over 3 million square feet, 135 sites and over 12,000 employees. In addition to ensuring the workspace and manufacturing facilities operate seamlessly, this group also provides employee and site services, such as cafeteria, transportation, security, and safety. The team is responsible for all construction and site improvement work to enable the business needs as well as align with the financial requirements.
Job Description
- Conduct management measures to fulfill the obligations under the applicable safety and health law and comply with government’s corrective orders
- Assess the effectiveness of the health and safety management system and whether the managers, employees, and contractors are complying with the safety measures at least biannually
- Set objectives and managerial policies on safety and health at the relevant business or place of business.
- Assist to appoint safety and health personnel and provide them with the necessary authority and resources to fulfill the duties.
- Assess risks in light of the specific attributes of the company’s business and its workplace, take necessary measures in compliance with the relevant work procedures to remedy hazards and risk factors.
- Compile a budget necessary to perform safety matters and ensure that the budget is executed in line with its purpose.
- Conduct an evaluation to determine whether persons in charge of safety and health management, supervisors faithfully perform the duties under the Occupational Safety and Health Law.
- Prepare a manual for safety measures in case of serious industrial accidents or imminent risk thereof and inspect at least biannually if the measures are taken in compliance with the manual.
- Establish procedures to collect workers’ opinions on safety and health matters and remedial measures necessary to prevent accidents based on workers’ opinions.
- Establish criteria and procedures to ensure third party workers’ safety and health, if engaging a service provider for subcontracting, worker dispatch, outsourcing, etc.
- Check compliance status concerning fulfillment of duties under safety and health related laws
- Check completion of safety and health training concerning risk factors and take steps to implement the training by securing a budget and relevant personnel if the training is not provided.
Minimum Qualifications
- 11 years of EHS experience either in manufacturing or semi-conductor service.
- Effective and fluent communicate in both Korean and English.
- Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs is required.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to work to commitments.
- Communicate concepts in a succinct and easy to comprehend manner.
- Experience supporting the development of the SAPA plans and liaison with customer EHS.
- Candidates should hold a recognized Health, Safety and/or Environmental management Professional certification.
