Summary:
SkyWater Technology’s Defect & Metrology team is seeking a Process Defect Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for FAB module defect trend monitoring and will partner with other engineering groups to resolve & prevent defect excursions. This individual will learn the process flow, learn how to use the defect investigation tools, and be proactive about continuous improvement projects. Responsibilities:
- Own & maintain defect excursion reaction plans.
- Fab module defect trend monitoring to identify potential defect sources.
- Review & respond to fab defect trends using statistical process control principles.
- Support transition between defect management systems.
- Support advanced technology product transfers.
- Learn defect recipe creation on all defect inspection tools.
- Initiate and execute defect reduction projects and root source finding activities.
- Work on baseline improvement projects to drive yield.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: B.S. degree in Data Science/Analytics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Device Physics, or other related engineering degree.
- 1 - 3 years of Defect Engineering experience.
- Semiconductor processing knowledge.
- Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Data mining/analysis skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of basic computer applications and reporting skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with coding, Python, SQL, JMP for data analysis.
US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
