Facilities Technician:
Requirement: The following specifies the minimum requirements for the position. Experience may be considered to be equivalent to educational credits on a case-by-case basis, depending on the scope of job.
Experience:
- Wafer fab experience is a plus. Education or experience with mechanical, electrical, and controls required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in cleanroom, as a facilities technician and those with strong trouble shooting skills.
- Electrician license with skills on low & medium volts is a plus.
Prerequisites:
- Operation & troubleshooting knowledge of HVAC systems including Chillers, CDA systems, Air handlers, Process Exhaust scrubbers, Process cooling system and Boilers.
- Basic knowledge of RODI & AWN systems.
- Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic electric knowledge - motors & pumps.
- Understanding of chemistry and general safety.
- Understanding of automated systems from air handlers, environmental controls, chillers, processed cooling water, VFDs,
- SPC knowledge, understanding of control charts and data entry.
- Basic control system knowledge. PLC programming and electronic skills are a plus. Must have knowledge of office automation (outlook, excel, word, etc)
- Schedule and perform PM’s
- Able to work as a team player.
Responsibilities:
- Operation and Maintenance of 90,000 square foot cleanroom.
- Preventive Maintenance of chillers, CDA systems, boilers, air handlers. UPS’s, control systems and scrubbers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in utility plant.
- Operation and maintenance of the fire alarm systems, hazardous gas detection systems, and other control systems throughout the plant.
- Schedule & perform Preventive Maintenance tasks, data entry and analyzing data.
- Participate in area improvement meetings.
