Our Metals Process Sustaining Engineer, Senior will manage development, process improvement, yield and optimization projects in support of our production and development groups on assigned equipment.  This position reports to the Process Engineering Manager for Metals.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous improvement of process capability and process controls.
  • Collaborate with other functions to solve complex problems and make appropriate engineering-based decisions in a complex, fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Work across organization to deliver improved processes and capabilities.
  • Drive overall equipment performance to meet company KPI's.
  • Resolve process excursions and drive permanent Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).
  • Work with minimal supervision, balancing competing priorities, to serve the needs of the company.
Required Qualifications:
 
  • B.S. or M.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Materials Science, Physics or other relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with the application of structured problem-solving methodology and design of experiment.
  • Experiences in JMP and statistical software.
  • Positive interpersonal skills, highly energetic and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet commitments and deliver results.
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities to meet business needs.
  • Applicants or College Graduates with less experience could be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AMAT Endura, EVATEC Clusterline and VEECO WaferStorm systems.
  • 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Experience with automated fault detection and control systems (FDC).
