Business Line Description: NXP’s fast growing Automotive Processing (AP) Business Line is seeking a Software Commercial Marketer to lead the worldwide commercial and business management activities for AP’s software solutions. The AP Commercial Marketing team has a broad range of business-critical responsibilities including price management, new business pursuit, revenue/demand forecasting and all operational elements of customer management including supply allocation decisions. The successful candidate will be a major influencer of AP’s pricing, contract terms and execution of its software solutions. The role will report to the EMEA or Americas Commercial Marketing Director. Job Summary: Responsibility to define the software pricing and commercial strategy and ensure successful execution The main interface from Commercial Marketing to the software product management organization to create a strong cross-functional team Generation of quotations and associated commercial analysis for software products and business Negotiation and execution of customer software licensing agreements in alignment with Sales and Legal Analyze market demand and provide periodic updates on the outlook of the fast moving market Perform competitive analysis with regards to pricing and licensing to ensure NXP leadership Provide guidance and coaching to the Commercial Marketing team on software commercial topics 10%-15% travel required Key Challenges: Experience in a software related business-to-business environment Commercial awareness and understanding of pricing & negotiation tactics and skills. Knowing how to reach win-win landing points. Knowledge of embedded software and semiconductors in particular is preferred An understanding of the automotive electronics market is preferred Experience with software terms and conditions, licensing and maintenance models and pricing models A strongly customer facing role that is consistently challenging Customer focused outlook and team working mindset and ability Cross Functional Aspects: Interface with the Head of Software Product Management to align on the commercial strategy for AP’s software solutions Interface with peers in NXP’s other Business Lines to ensure consistency and align on the optimal approach Job Qualifications: B.S. in Business Management, Marketing, Electrical Engineering or similar Degree At least 7 yrs of relevant experience Strong financial analytical capabilities Excellent presentation and communication skills coupled with good interpersonal skills Strong organizational and planning skills Job Location: Preference to Munich, Germany or Glasgow, Scotland or Austin, Texas, U.S.A.
